Mordillo Studio will manage the artist’s archive while developing new content across publishing, digital media, and design. The studio also plans to collaborate with designers, publishers, and brands to translate Mordillo’s distinctive visual language into a wide range of formats.
“The goal is to keep his world alive, but also allow it to evolve,” said the Studio’s founder. “Not by repeating what already exists, but by building on its spirit.”
Known for his wordless drawings of rounded characters and quietly absurd scenarios, Mordillo created a visual language that resonated globally. The new studio aims to extend this universality into contemporary contexts, from books and digital content to spatial and product-based applications.
“Because the work is wordless, it remains incredibly open and universal,” the team said. “That allows us to bring it into different media and collaborations without losing its essence.”
Rather than positioning the archive as a static collection, Mordillo Studio frames it as an active creative system—one that continues to grow through new interpretations while maintaining the clarity, balance, and humor of the original work.
