Mordillo – a name, which is now a trademark, a promise of good spirits and a guarantee of quality. Mordillo is art, it is a (comic) world where absurdity, recognition and clarity come together. All based on an unique way of seeing. I build on this legacy and the world Guillermo Mordillo created, a new Studio is set up. Led by his daughter this studio will focus on bringing the world of Mordillo to life. With books, new artworks, with a daily smile and ... even with furniture.

The story of Mordillo

From Argentina to the world: the life and legacy of Guillermo Mordillo.

Guillermo Mordillo, better known as Mordillo, was an Argentine artist who transformed a life of travel into a universe of wordless stories. Born in Buenos Aires in 1932, he began sketching as a child and never really stopped, letting his pencil lead him from Lima to New York and, finally, to Paris, where his round-nosed characters truly found their home.
